Expectations kills...

Ah. Was kinda disappointed by the new Harry Potter movie. It just feels incomplete somehow. Like huge chunks were missing from the storyline and not adequately explained to the audiences. And the casting...=_= I’d always thought that Sirius would be more manly and Lupin would be more dashing, more Johnny Deppish. Or perhaps “raffish” as J said, would be a better word. But...that Lupin looks like a backcountry farmer with a weak chin!!! Oh what I'd give to see Johnny Depp cast as Lupin. Though that's not really very possible. =_=

Isn't he just adorable?? Posted by Hello

Uh-huh. I think all the movie reviewers that found PoA "wickedly good", "the best Potter movie ever" and "a Potter film with fangs," are either
- Out of their minds
- Illiterates who have yet to read the superior book
- Born to fawn

PoA the movie has a darker, more satisfying bite, simply because the book itself is such. It is not to the credit of Alfonso Cuaron. Now, the movie doesn't suck in its own right either - it does have good parts, namely the whoop-ass Patronus scene. But its (re)interpretation of the book leaves much to be desired. :(

u're wicked! hahaha...but u're absolutely right.... =_= all those film critics...definitely have not read the book yet!

PoA was and still is my fav in the entire series and the movie somehow just couldn't live up to my expectations.
