A tale of two direction idiots…

The absurdity of it is just so funny. We all know that I am a direction idiot. Well, turns out that ZX is not much better than yours truly. Though I need to take most of the blame coz I’ve been there like loads of times and I still can’t recognize the route. =_=

After wed’s training, I asked ZX to give me a lift to sinpang. But even after repeated instructions from sha, tiff, and the road directory, we still managed to get lost. =_= Even ended up somewhere in the bedok industrial park. Haha… even after repeated calls for help to tiff, sha and my mum, we still couldn’t find our way there. This is almost too embarrassing to blog about. The feelings of helplessness and frustrations of being lost is no joke! Especially when the location is so bloody near! And we can’t seem to find it! In the end, my dad said he’ll pick me up from the mrt station. =P All’s well that ends well I suppose. I managed to get to where I want to go while ZX need not continue turning circles in bedok. =P

However, this senpai of mine is the best lah! I got to remember to treat him something nice next payday. =)

On a separate note, I realized that I need to go for more training sessions. I really feel that the long inactivity is my undoing. ZX said that just going down for trainings is not really enough. To improve, one must think about the things taught and mistakes etc. I do agree with that but now, I need to get back into the groove of training first I think. I’ve been slacking way too long.

New resolution to self: Not to miss any Sunday and Wednesday trainings and try to go down for as many NUSKK trainings as possible.

Cowards

So… instead of starting my literature essay that is due in a few hours time, bummer that I am, I was reading blogs and came across the whole xx’s blog controversy. It seems that other than the controversial xx, many other famous blogs got hacked as well. A few years back, I never really understood what the xx craze was all about. But I think I might have mellowed with age. I actually find a lot of her posts very funny. =P

Personally, I find the behaviour of the hacker deplorable! It’s malicious and downright disgusting. But what pissed me off the most are the comments posted by hateful people about how they supported the hacker and how they think xx deserved it etc etc. I think this shows how low their character is. Riding behind someone’s wrongdoing and even encouraging it to show their petty malice is absolutely nauseating. It shows their lack of character and integrity. =_=

Dire warning...

haha... I saw this sign on the fence behind the basketball courts while on the way to the library. Just thought it's pretty funny. =P Thought I'll take a picture of it before I leave PL. Apparently, it was left behind by the previous school. =P

It's all coming to an end soon!!!

It's all coming to an end soon!! I can't wait to start lessons! School this week has been pretty sedate. I no longer have any classes to teach and my mentors have even given me back my evaluation forms. So I spent my time in the staff room reading harry potter and listening to my ipod. Haha… pretty much doing nothing… out of sheer boredom, I agreed to go along with my mentor to invigilate the girls while they’re having their history tests. Man… the whole process is a torture. As a rule, teachers invigilating cannot mark their stuff nor can they sit down to read or do their own work. So I had to walk around the class for the whole 45 minutes. Wah! Talk about being bored… it’s sheer hell! I almost fell asleep while leaning against the wall. >_<

This school experience stint is nearly over and I can say that I did learn a lot from my mentors. They were really really nice to me. In this aspect, I can say that I’m really lucky to have them. =)

Note to self: must remember to buy em stuff before I leave PL.
Argh… got to use the free time to write my Lit essay. Fucking waste of my time…. I’d much rather spend it stoning… =_=

happy...

Well, first thing first, thanks guys for your concern over my dad. He was discharged today. Though the doctors don’t really know the actual cause of his condition, I think it’s probably high blood pressure. This little episode made me realize just how much my dad matters to me and my family. I feel that it also made my mum and dad that much closer. Not that they were not close before… but now, my mum’s extra extra nice to my dad. Hahaha… we told dad to savour the moment because there’s not likely going to be a repeat once he fully recovers. =P

Just got my copy of harry potter today! I know its one day late… but I was so busy and worried the past few days. Now I can read in peace! Yay!

Argh…. Will we fail content upgrading? I have zero inspiration for the literature essay due this Friday. I haven’t even finish reading the play yet! T_T I hate content upgrading… it’s a fucking waste of my time! Given the choice between school and content up-grading, I’ll take school any day… even if I have to wear skirts. =_=

About training… I have been neglecting training for a long time… family matters took up most of my attention and I have to admit that I was lazy and unmotivated. Sigh… I’ve decided to set myself a date by which I’ll return to training. 24th of July will be that date!

=(

My dad was warded yesterday. He has been complaining of giddiness for the past few days but we thought it was just the lack of sleep. He seems ok at my commencement too. hmm… I don’t really know the details as yet and that is worrying me. The staff at Changi hospital is really not very helpful. They really should take some lessons from Munna Bhai. =_=

Okies! I’m off to the hospital! Really hope he’ll be able to come home soon.

Commencement!

T_T Missed out on the history group picture! Sad… but my mummy wanna leave and I can’t really keep the car waiting… sorry guys! T_T but I did get some pictures taken with the gang… though not every one of the shots turned out well. =_= But, I finally graduated!! Woohoo!~

After resting for a while, went out to meet with J, dot and jas for a movie! The Fantastic Four was delightfully shallow! My kind of movie! The movie was gleefully entertaining and the company was fantastic. We all had a good time picking on poor dot. =P We didn’t get home till 4plus almost 5. Thank goodness I don’t have school on Fridays! Hehe…

Okies! got to stop rambling here… going to meet ra at JP soon.

It's finally payday!!!

I went shopping with J just now and I spent nearly a thousand bucks! Just in the space of a few hours! Actually… it’s slightly above 1k. haha… I’m such a spendthrift. =P But I’m pretty please with my purchases… especially the “little” reward I bought for myself. Ho ho ho…

Stopped by an ATM to check out my balance as well as to withdraw some money to pay my mountain of debts… man… the balance is shockingly low. Perhaps I should stop this lifestyle. Or my pay won’t last till August 12th.

Well, on a side note, my evaluation went well. For the history side at least. Heh. That could be because my mentor is so nice.

ps: bon voyage zibs!!

Normality ensues

Well, I went to school on Thursday as per normal. Pretty good day I would say… got to relief some of my mentor’s classes. The secondary two girls were surprisingly cute -going ga-ga over Edison Chan, a liking for singing in class… they were really different from the class I’ve taught so far… they were more relaxed and so I was more at ease in class too. Overall, even though I didn’t do much, the two periods there were fun. =)

The company was good on Wednesday. The combination of a good friend and several cousins resulted in a night long chatting session punctuated with loud laughter and giggles… not very respectful for sure… but the jokes just won’t stop! But one of my uncles actually said that there should be laughter at the wake and not tears because my ah gong went peacefully and without worries. Yesterday, we had a prayer session. Man… it was over an hour long and we had to kneel and stand lots of times. =_= It was really tedious… but anything for ah gong I suppose… Hmmm… the wake was tiring… I never knew how tired it was to just man the wake. It’s tiring to sit and do nothing. Some of my kendo juniors (asstea, brown nut and gy) came to the wake after training. Thanks guys for coming over… =)

It'll take some getting use to...

My grandfather passed away this morning. It’s a weird kind of feeling that I have… sad yet not quite as acute as grief. It'll be weird not having him around. He's like a fixture in my family. I may not be especially close to him but his death will take some getting use to. Looking at his body at the wake, it's strange to see how different he was in death. His body looks so different from what I remembered him to be like. My cousin said that it was because of the make-up... but it's really much more than that. Though I really don't know how to describe it...

I left school early today. Thank goodness my v-p was very understanding. But since I'm really under NIE, I got to apply for leave from them instead of the school. UPA leave from NIE for Friday’s class is unavoidable. But I wonder if I can settle the leave issue with just a phone call. Sigh…

Though truth be told, the atmosphere at the wake is strangly "cheerful". Not the gloomy gloomy type (though in the afternoon it was that way), but rather noisy and to a certain extent, almost cheery. Well, maybe cheery is not the right word to use... but overall, the atmosphere was more positive than negative. I would like to console myself that it would be what he would have like it to be.

sad...

I was in town when my mum called me. My granddad is not doing well. In fact, my cousin went to get the picture for the funeral made just this afternoon. A series of strokes left him in a coma. Sad to say, I was not that close to my granddad. But looking at him lying on the bed, I can’t help but think of him just a few years back walking to work everyday wearing a cap. Most of all, I’m sad that I didn’t get to spend more time with him while he was still relatively healthy. I held his hand today. I haven’t held his hand since I was a kid. I have a feeling that it’ll be one of the last times I get to hold his hand.
