I’m SICK!!! My cough is horrid. I think I’m getting the flu. *thinks* Must be nat’s fault! She’s the super-infector! =_=
But I still went for training today, thinking it would cure me. hahaha…
Training was hard today. The weather was hot and the emphasis on footwork was tough. I have a horrid cough that seems to be the side effect of Flixonase. =_= Plus the fact that we were in bougu made it seem like we’re training in a mini sauna within a big sauna. =_= At the end of training, the only thing keeping us alive was the 100plus. Man… we only appreciate the much unlamented 100plus at the end of a hot and tough training. I love you 100plus! *muacks*
Often during training or the times before training when I have to lug the huge bougu everywhere I go, even in NIE, made me wonder why I never quit kendo. Am I addicted to the pain? Hahaha… often times, the training is hard and I feel like dying but when I’m training, I don’t think about projects or homework or any other shit like that. The rush of euphoria when everything is over made me feel as though I’ve won another tiny part of a battle. I guess that’s what I’m addicted to. =P haha… not to forget the great pals I’ve made in kendo. They’re the best!
Okies. mushiness aside, I got to go back to my poetry package… T_T

poetry project and other misc stuff...
Spend Friday afternoon and the whole of Saturday doing the stupid poetry package. Though I must admit that we spent quite a lot of time watching J-dramas as well. Oh well, quite a lot has been accomplished and I’m confident that we’ll be able to finish the project before the deadline. =) *beams*
Hmmm… I’m thinking of getting another Korean drama but I don't have much money left this month and I’m moving soon. My mum will kill me if I buy more vcds back when she has already packed up all the vcds. T_T *wails* Guess I’ll have to wait till next month then. Argh… I want more money!!!
Oh by the way, Kitty sent me this link over msn. Heh. Since it’s so fun, I thought I’ll share it with all my darling friends. Enjoy! =)

Wallet found and other misc stuff....
Thanks guys for the well-wishes! It came true! My wallet was found a few days ago. I love SMRT cab drivers! They’re so honest! =)
Couldn’t be bothered to update the blog lah. Bogged down by projects and un-graded presentations. >_< I hate NIE!~ T_T
Anyways, while I have to admit that I’m not the best of audience, it’s really inexcusably rude of someone who would whine “listen listen!!” to people while she’s presenting (for over an hour) and then sleep while others are presenting (for less than a quarter of the time she presented). Pretentious little snot! Argh… I feel like throttling her! When I saw her sleeping, I felt like throwing my shoe at her man! But I restrained myself... *vibrates with anger*
Argh… I have like less than an hour to decide which ICT tool am I going to take up. I had initially decided on photoshop… but Z kept insisting that dreamweaver is easier. But Para says not true. Ahhhhhhhhhhh……dilemma! I think I’ll decide on the MRT…

stuff...
I wanted to blog about something this morning… but my lost wallet threw me off-track. But it’s ok! I’ve thought it over… it’s only money… *wails* I’ll get over it… in time. T_T
This morning after training, ZX was nice enough to send me home. We were talking about the new batch of juniors in the nuskk. Thinking of all the freshmen, I suddenly felt kinda sad. My uni years were good years. I made great friends there. Some are still great, others have drifted away. It’s life I guess… time doesn’t turn back. Though I can’t help but feel a twinge here and there occasionally. It must be old age. I keep feeling nostalgic about all the little inane stuff.
One good thing is that I’ve finally gotten out of a kendo slump. It doesn’t mean that I’ve improved dramatically whatsoever, but that I’ve finally gotten back into the rhythm of regular training. I'm rather happy about this. =) All in all, I’ve re-affirmed the importance of some things and re-evaluated the value of others.
Oh please…. someone… give me back my wallet!!! T_T

Arghhhhhh.......
I lost my fucking wallet!!! *Roar*
It’s been 4 hours since I lost it. Friends have been saying that it’ll be returned. But I still have this sinking feeling that it won’t be. T_T

-_-
Overall, I don’t think I did too badly yesterday. But I can’t say that I did good either.
=_=
But J’s right. It’s all in the mind. I keep thinking about the match with Jac. I have to admit that I’m not as skilled as her. But I realized that I lost during encho because I wasn’t as strong in the mental aspect. The moment I lost my focus, bam! I lost the point. Everything just happened so fast and the match was lost. Well, I guess there’s much to think about and reflect upon.
Hmmm… the new juniors will be in on Monday. It’ll be interesting to see new blood. =P

Moving soon…
The building I’m living in was mentioned in the news yesterday. It was deemed unsafe to live in and we have to vacate within a month. =_= The family will probably move to a rented flat for a couple of months before moving back to Pasir Ris. There were some other issues bugging me but I’m in no mood to blog anymore. =_=

Aching all over…
Oh I’m truly getting old. Just two hours of training and my body’s protesting already. But I got to keiko with Andrew Sensei today! =) Super happy bout it! It’s the first time I got to keiko with him! He’s impressive lah! I will train harder and then keiko with him again!
=_= Perhaps I shouldn’t have slacked so much the previous semester. Getting back into the groove of training is proving harder than I thought. Wednesdays’ trainings remain my favourite! It’s cooler than NUS, the floor’s better, and there’s more people there. But I’ll have to forgo Wednesdays’ trainings for quite a while after today. T_T damn that fieldtrip module! If I have extra cash… I guess I’ll contribute more money to the taxi industry in Singapore. =_=

good day at NUS!
Training today was good! But my whole body aches now. T_T It was almost like a mini reunion of sorts! So many people were back! I’m so happy! Hehe… after today’s training, I don’t feel sick anymore! Nor do I feel depressed over NIE stuff anymore. I just felt great! Tired, aching but great!
I guess the visit to NUS really lifted my spirits. Before that I was a little miffed at hen. But I can never stay angry at hen for long. =_= Eating laksa at the arts canteen, meeting prof Farrell, meeting old friends, sitting in the red room slacking, going for training… they are all things I’d taken for granted before. I used to think that NUS is fucked up! Well! That’s because there’s no basis for comparison. Now there is… and NUS has come up tops! Even the air smells nicer in NUS! Boonlay stinks! >_< I even miss the tutors and profs in NUS! Well, some of em’ at least. Again, with comparisons, they’ve come up tops.
Here’s to more lunch trips to NUS! =)
ps: oh! I forgot to mention just now... my fav kimchi bought me a white kendo gi from korea! Heh. I'm just blessed with super nice juniors lah. I really like the white gi lah! Thanx so much darling kimchi! I'll give ya my treasured NUS kendo jacket in return. =)

T_T
I was seriously intending to “puddle (term learnt from para)” at home all weekend since I’m low on funds as well as mood. But I never really expected to get sick! =_= This is seriously ironic. That I’ll get sick on a weekend instead of any of the dreaded weekdays! T_T What a blasted waste of my weekend… I missed the shinpan training on sat and will miss Sunday’s training. Right now, I still have the monster of a headache and even my bones ache. The worst thing is, I do feel myself on the mend though I still feel pretty bad. It’s not even worth it to get an MC for Monday because it’s only a Lit lesson and there’s project discussion afterwards. T_T

BBK Food Experiences! =)

The menu from Airasia... super inflated prices. Am glad we didn't succumb to temptation on the flight. =P
Posted by Picasa

First meal in Bangkok! For the ridiculously cheap price of 310 baht for 4 people! The initial bill was 210 baht but we felt that they counted wrongly so we paid another 100 baht. But it's still so cheap!! The food's fantastic by the way. There was another plate of beef hidden by the pot. Super cheap!

Yaki Shabu of Daidomon in MBK!! By far the best meal in Bangkok! Words can hardly describe the experience. Good food sold cheaply is probably the most apt. I wanna go back to Bangkok!! T_T

T and K seafood in Chinatown was our second dinner. Super ex for such hmmm.. conditions. But I guess we did order the expensive stuff. =_=

Lunch at Coca was satisfying but no where near the standard at Daidomon. I think that's still the best i've eaten in Bangkok.

Our last meal... in Bangkok. We could only afford two cheeseburgers from BK, and shared water from the nalgene bottle. Our remaining 39 baht was spent on a sundae from dairy queen. And thus, we left Bangkok without a single baht to our name. =P

A tale of two direction idiots…
The absurdity of it is just so funny. We all know that I am a direction idiot. Well, turns out that ZX is not much better than yours truly. Though I need to take most of the blame coz I’ve been there like loads of times and I still can’t recognize the route. =_=
After wed’s training, I asked ZX to give me a lift to sinpang. But even after repeated instructions from sha, tiff, and the road directory, we still managed to get lost. =_= Even ended up somewhere in the bedok industrial park. Haha… even after repeated calls for help to tiff, sha and my mum, we still couldn’t find our way there. This is almost too embarrassing to blog about. The feelings of helplessness and frustrations of being lost is no joke! Especially when the location is so bloody near! And we can’t seem to find it! In the end, my dad said he’ll pick me up from the mrt station. =P All’s well that ends well I suppose. I managed to get to where I want to go while ZX need not continue turning circles in bedok. =P
However, this senpai of mine is the best lah! I got to remember to treat him something nice next payday. =)
On a separate note, I realized that I need to go for more training sessions. I really feel that the long inactivity is my undoing. ZX said that just going down for trainings is not really enough. To improve, one must think about the things taught and mistakes etc. I do agree with that but now, I need to get back into the groove of training first I think. I’ve been slacking way too long.
New resolution to self: Not to miss any Sunday and Wednesday trainings and try to go down for as many NUSKK trainings as possible.

Cowards
So… instead of starting my literature essay that is due in a few hours time, bummer that I am, I was reading blogs and came across the whole xx’s blog controversy. It seems that other than the controversial xx, many other famous blogs got hacked as well. A few years back, I never really understood what the xx craze was all about. But I think I might have mellowed with age. I actually find a lot of her posts very funny. =P
Personally, I find the behaviour of the hacker deplorable! It’s malicious and downright disgusting. But what pissed me off the most are the comments posted by hateful people about how they supported the hacker and how they think xx deserved it etc etc. I think this shows how low their character is. Riding behind someone’s wrongdoing and even encouraging it to show their petty malice is absolutely nauseating. It shows their lack of character and integrity. =_=

It's all coming to an end soon!!!
It's all coming to an end soon!! I can't wait to start lessons! School this week has been pretty sedate. I no longer have any classes to teach and my mentors have even given me back my evaluation forms. So I spent my time in the staff room reading harry potter and listening to my ipod. Haha… pretty much doing nothing… out of sheer boredom, I agreed to go along with my mentor to invigilate the girls while they’re having their history tests. Man… the whole process is a torture. As a rule, teachers invigilating cannot mark their stuff nor can they sit down to read or do their own work. So I had to walk around the class for the whole 45 minutes. Wah! Talk about being bored… it’s sheer hell! I almost fell asleep while leaning against the wall. >_<
This school experience stint is nearly over and I can say that I did learn a lot from my mentors. They were really really nice to me. In this aspect, I can say that I’m really lucky to have them. =)
Note to self: must remember to buy em stuff before I leave PL.
Argh… got to use the free time to write my Lit essay. Fucking waste of my time…. I’d much rather spend it stoning… =_=
