Our fieldtrip’s done!!

I’m so glad that our fieldtrip went well. We worked really hard for this project. In fact, we worked together for so long we’re almost like family. Many thanks to our sweet classmates for being so supportive and ms S for the nice comments. It’s really a load off my chest. And I’m sure all my group-mates felt the same. So all in all, I don’t really mind looking ridiculous for 2-3 hours. Haha… S

Some photos from that day…

After the fieldtrip, uncle treated the whole group to makan at a middle-eastern restaurant to celebrate a job well-done! =)

It’s 5.52am and I’m contemplating getting an MC just for the sake of it. T_T

But I’ll probably just go to school. Was just grousing bout it with my fieldtrip group yesterday. Shizhi made a comment that’s just so true! We start work earlier than other people and end work later… THEY DON’T PAY US ENOUGH!! Even the breaks in between lessons are filled up with project meetings and more meetings... even the weekend is burnt doing projects. T_T

I feel so sianz… but at least after Wednesday, one big hurdle would have been crossed! And we’ll have rendang for dinner while nat feast on the grass outside. Hahaahahaha...

Braveheart made me cry… T_T

Hollywood or not… it’s really a powerful movie! Well… I’m not skiving my work… it’s for my group’s concept lesson plan. I’ve not cried so much for a movie since K3G lah. T_T and that’s a Bollywood production!

Bogged down...

Literature essay is done! Woohoo!~ I'm super ashamed of it!! But woohoo!~ At least it's over and done with! But there’s still the fieldtrip project and concept lesson plan to do. Not to forget the drama package. Wah... the never-ending list of work goes on… it seems as though my life at present is just going from one deadline to another... argh… I long for the days in NUS when I can slack my days away. Now, I don’t even have time to breathe properly. They’re really cramping too many things into one year… like ra said, maybe they’re too stingy to pay us more! =_=

Was just mentioning to J that I wanna eat meat… be it Brazilian, Japanese, or Korean it doesn’t matter... But I’m so broke now... oh well, will go when I get October’s pay I guess. Meat... meat... meat... *drools*

Two assignments down! Ten more to go...

I should be starting on my Literature essay… but I have absolutely no inspiration whatsoever… perhaps it’s because I haven’t really read the required readings… and I’ve been getting these sudden headache attacks. Sigh… oh well, I’m sure I’ll be able to churn it out before Monday. Anyways, I deserve the rest! My ICT stuff is done(thanx to J! hahaha…)!! And my history group managed to churn out the webquest before the designated deadline of 5pm! I never knew checking links can be sooooooo tedious! We’re so lucky to have S in our group… she’s so meticulous and organized! Very impressive! I want to be organized too!! =)

Acknowledgements go out to auntie keong for teaching me the basics for ImageReady and burning the software for me. Thanks auntie keong!! Thanks too to my dearest J for the fantastic company and all the help given. *hugz*

Sudden revelation: I haven’t seen my bougu for 2 weeks!! It hasn’t even been in my new house! That’s how long I haven’t train! Oh god… I miss my bougu…. Shall be going back to nus for it soon. Hope it hasn’t grown mold in my absence. T_T

Yosh! 10 more deadlines to meet before the end of term (according to ra’s list). We shall have to work harder!

Ibook! Mine!

Heh. I woke up this morning with an indescribable urge to buy my ibook. I’ve been deliberating about getting one for ages. Ya know how pregnant women sometimes crave sour food? I craved for my ibook with the same intensity! The first thing I did when I woke up was to message J on icq, describing my intense longing for my ibook. Hahaha…And thus, off I went to buy my ibook today! It’s soooooo pretty!! Special thanks to the kitty-kat for coming with me to get the ibook at such short notice and for carrying it for me all over town. But I believed lunch more than made up for it. =P

I’m a Mac convert now… thanks to the fantastic service provided by the salesman (whose title on the name card says “Mac Evangelist” by the way… haha). He’s so nice! =P Details on how nice he is cannot be put on the net. =P And i had to be prompted by kitty to say "thank you" coz I was so blur. =P But he's really very nice!

Special incident of the day: I used a payphone for the first time in 7 freaking years! Ahhh… the consequences of forgetting my darling hp is harsh indeed. Luckily I remembered J’s number… or else, even payphones can’t help me. But now I’m stuck with a phonecard with 4 over dollars inside. =_=

=)

Heh. I’m still at ra’s place… blogging while she touches up on her essay and do up our cover pages. =) RA! U the best lah! Hahaha…

Coz of the move, my internet access was cut. T_T Since the stupid essay is due today at 4 pm and I haven’t even decided on the question yesterday, I have no choice but to lug myself to bukit batok and miss training yet again. Sigh… Oh well, at least it’s a good trip lah. Ra’s mum is a fantastic cook and the Turkish dessert was real nice. I got to watch Paheli after I finished my essay last night and K3G once again… ahhhhhh… Shah Rukh Khan is really adorable! I’m falling in love once more…

I’m in a good mood today! One assignment down and many more to go! But at the very least, one is down!

=) Meeting up with J later… hopefully the central restaurant at taka will be nice! I have expectations! Hehe…

=_=

I thought my 12.30 class today starts at 1.30! and thus I was 1 hour and 20 minutes late for class today. As a “punishment” I had to stand in front of the class and deliver a speech on any topic for bout 1 minute or so. Haha… I chose to speak of the importance of punctuality. Hehe… ironic isn’t it? But as a sign of apology, I bought chocolates for the class and ms yee of course. Just got to remember to bring em' to school tomorrow! =P

On a side note, many thanks to mr chweekuey for teaching us about photoshop/dreamweaver and for burning a copy of his photoshop for me. hehe… you’re the best lah!

Teachers' Day

What a hideous day! Rushing project’s not fun at all. But at least the poetry package is done at long last! Yipee! Apologies to friends I snapped at and history group-mates I kept waiting today. Thanks guys for being understanding. I promise I’ll put in 120% next assignment!

Went for kendo in the evening even though I was dead tired coz I don’t want to fall back into my sloppy ways. But it was ok. I feel better than I did after training as compared to yesterday. Z came by after training and we had a good time ribbing him about his special friend and his extraordinary satay experience. Hehehe… but he was a good sport about it. Hahaha…

Oh ya! Met prof Kratoska in clementi during supper. Haha… such a surprise to see him. Oh shucks! I was so surprised to see him that I forgot to wish him a happy teacher’s day!
Sigh… oh well… happy teacher’s day prof K!

Here’s to the end of a hectic and semi-dreadful day… may the next one be much much better! =)

I'm SICK SICK SICK!!!

I’m SICK!!! My cough is horrid. I think I’m getting the flu. *thinks* Must be nat’s fault! She’s the super-infector! =_=

But I still went for training today, thinking it would cure me. hahaha…

Training was hard today. The weather was hot and the emphasis on footwork was tough. I have a horrid cough that seems to be the side effect of Flixonase. =_= Plus the fact that we were in bougu made it seem like we’re training in a mini sauna within a big sauna. =_= At the end of training, the only thing keeping us alive was the 100plus. Man… we only appreciate the much unlamented 100plus at the end of a hot and tough training. I love you 100plus! *muacks*

Often during training or the times before training when I have to lug the huge bougu everywhere I go, even in NIE, made me wonder why I never quit kendo. Am I addicted to the pain? Hahaha… often times, the training is hard and I feel like dying but when I’m training, I don’t think about projects or homework or any other shit like that. The rush of euphoria when everything is over made me feel as though I’ve won another tiny part of a battle. I guess that’s what I’m addicted to. =P haha… not to forget the great pals I’ve made in kendo. They’re the best!

Okies. mushiness aside, I got to go back to my poetry package… T_T

poetry project and other misc stuff...

Spend Friday afternoon and the whole of Saturday doing the stupid poetry package. Though I must admit that we spent quite a lot of time watching J-dramas as well. Oh well, quite a lot has been accomplished and I’m confident that we’ll be able to finish the project before the deadline. =) *beams*

Hmmm… I’m thinking of getting another Korean drama but I don't have much money left this month and I’m moving soon. My mum will kill me if I buy more vcds back when she has already packed up all the vcds. T_T *wails* Guess I’ll have to wait till next month then. Argh… I want more money!!!

Oh by the way, Kitty sent me this link over msn. Heh. Since it’s so fun, I thought I’ll share it with all my darling friends. Enjoy! =)

Wallet found and other misc stuff....

Thanks guys for the well-wishes! It came true! My wallet was found a few days ago. I love SMRT cab drivers! They’re so honest! =)

Couldn’t be bothered to update the blog lah. Bogged down by projects and un-graded presentations. >_< I hate NIE!~ T_T

Anyways, while I have to admit that I’m not the best of audience, it’s really inexcusably rude of someone who would whine “listen listen!!” to people while she’s presenting (for over an hour) and then sleep while others are presenting (for less than a quarter of the time she presented). Pretentious little snot! Argh… I feel like throttling her! When I saw her sleeping, I felt like throwing my shoe at her man! But I restrained myself... *vibrates with anger*

Argh… I have like less than an hour to decide which ICT tool am I going to take up. I had initially decided on photoshop… but Z kept insisting that dreamweaver is easier. But Para says not true. Ahhhhhhhhhhh……dilemma! I think I’ll decide on the MRT…

=_=

stuff...

I wanted to blog about something this morning… but my lost wallet threw me off-track. But it’s ok! I’ve thought it over… it’s only money… *wails* I’ll get over it… in time. T_T

This morning after training, ZX was nice enough to send me home. We were talking about the new batch of juniors in the nuskk. Thinking of all the freshmen, I suddenly felt kinda sad. My uni years were good years. I made great friends there. Some are still great, others have drifted away. It’s life I guess… time doesn’t turn back. Though I can’t help but feel a twinge here and there occasionally. It must be old age. I keep feeling nostalgic about all the little inane stuff.

One good thing is that I’ve finally gotten out of a kendo slump. It doesn’t mean that I’ve improved dramatically whatsoever, but that I’ve finally gotten back into the rhythm of regular training. I'm rather happy about this. =) All in all, I’ve re-affirmed the importance of some things and re-evaluated the value of others.

Oh please…. someone… give me back my wallet!!! T_T

Arghhhhhh.......

I lost my fucking wallet!!! *Roar*

It’s been 4 hours since I lost it. Friends have been saying that it’ll be returned. But I still have this sinking feeling that it won’t be. T_T

*sad*

-_-

Overall, I don’t think I did too badly yesterday. But I can’t say that I did good either.

=_=

But J’s right. It’s all in the mind. I keep thinking about the match with Jac. I have to admit that I’m not as skilled as her. But I realized that I lost during encho because I wasn’t as strong in the mental aspect. The moment I lost my focus, bam! I lost the point. Everything just happened so fast and the match was lost. Well, I guess there’s much to think about and reflect upon.

Hmmm… the new juniors will be in on Monday. It’ll be interesting to see new blood. =P

Moving soon…

The building I’m living in was mentioned in the news yesterday. It was deemed unsafe to live in and we have to vacate within a month. =_= The family will probably move to a rented flat for a couple of months before moving back to Pasir Ris. There were some other issues bugging me but I’m in no mood to blog anymore. =_=

Aching all over…

Oh I’m truly getting old. Just two hours of training and my body’s protesting already. But I got to keiko with Andrew Sensei today! =) Super happy bout it! It’s the first time I got to keiko with him! He’s impressive lah! I will train harder and then keiko with him again!

=_= Perhaps I shouldn’t have slacked so much the previous semester. Getting back into the groove of training is proving harder than I thought. Wednesdays’ trainings remain my favourite! It’s cooler than NUS, the floor’s better, and there’s more people there. But I’ll have to forgo Wednesdays’ trainings for quite a while after today. T_T damn that fieldtrip module! If I have extra cash… I guess I’ll contribute more money to the taxi industry in Singapore. =_=

good day at NUS!

Training today was good! But my whole body aches now. T_T It was almost like a mini reunion of sorts! So many people were back! I’m so happy! Hehe… after today’s training, I don’t feel sick anymore! Nor do I feel depressed over NIE stuff anymore. I just felt great! Tired, aching but great!

I guess the visit to NUS really lifted my spirits. Before that I was a little miffed at hen. But I can never stay angry at hen for long. =_= Eating laksa at the arts canteen, meeting prof Farrell, meeting old friends, sitting in the red room slacking, going for training… they are all things I’d taken for granted before. I used to think that NUS is fucked up! Well! That’s because there’s no basis for comparison. Now there is… and NUS has come up tops! Even the air smells nicer in NUS! Boonlay stinks! >_< I even miss the tutors and profs in NUS! Well, some of em’ at least. Again, with comparisons, they’ve come up tops.

Here’s to more lunch trips to NUS! =)

ps: oh! I forgot to mention just now... my fav kimchi bought me a white kendo gi from korea! Heh. I'm just blessed with super nice juniors lah. I really like the white gi lah! Thanx so much darling kimchi! I'll give ya my treasured NUS kendo jacket in return. =)

T_T

I was seriously intending to “puddle (term learnt from para)” at home all weekend since I’m low on funds as well as mood. But I never really expected to get sick! =_= This is seriously ironic. That I’ll get sick on a weekend instead of any of the dreaded weekdays! T_T What a blasted waste of my weekend… I missed the shinpan training on sat and will miss Sunday’s training. Right now, I still have the monster of a headache and even my bones ache. The worst thing is, I do feel myself on the mend though I still feel pretty bad. It’s not even worth it to get an MC for Monday because it’s only a Lit lesson and there’s project discussion afterwards. T_T

arghhhhhhhhhhhhhh.............

BBK Food Experiences! =)

The menu from Airasia... super inflated prices. Am glad we didn't succumb to temptation on the flight. =P
Posted by Picasa

First meal in Bangkok! For the ridiculously cheap price of 310 baht for 4 people! The initial bill was 210 baht but we felt that they counted wrongly so we paid another 100 baht. But it's still so cheap!! The food's fantastic by the way. There was another plate of beef hidden by the pot. Super cheap!
Posted by Picasa

Yaki Shabu of Daidomon in MBK!! By far the best meal in Bangkok! Words can hardly describe the experience. Good food sold cheaply is probably the most apt. I wanna go back to Bangkok!! T_T
Posted by Picasa

T and K seafood in Chinatown was our second dinner. Super ex for such hmmm.. conditions. But I guess we did order the expensive stuff. =_=
Posted by Picasa

Lunch at Coca was satisfying but no where near the standard at Daidomon. I think that's still the best i've eaten in Bangkok.
Posted by Picasa

Our last meal... in Bangkok. We could only afford two cheeseburgers from BK, and shared water from the nalgene bottle. Our remaining 39 baht was spent on a sundae from dairy queen. And thus, we left Bangkok without a single baht to our name. =P
